    Then double post. No excuses next time.

    @Rolsand - I've changed my vote once, one time, after learning information about you that changed my mind.

    We need to lynch someone, they need to be scum, or we're going to lose.

    I simply don't buy your arguments about Othero

  • *sigh*
  • vote: Alary
  • But I did give exactly that, the very exact information I had. Clearly you haven't been paying attention. I suspected her to be the serial killer, but I also gave everyone the very exact information I had, several pages back. To let everyone draw their own conclusions. I have been giving the exact information I find, I suspect you only skim posts and draw your own conclusions based on snap judgements.

    I fear I must reveal myself, my role in this grand adventure. I am none other than Dogberry, chief policeman of Messina. I hail from the play Much Ado About Nothing. My power is obvious now that you know my role, I am the investigator. I have investigated Tremula, and she's of a nasty sort. A killer without remorse, she's a nasty sort. Kathrine from Taming o the Shrew, she is prone to madness and violence like some common criminal. But alas, there is nothing common about Tremula, for she is none other than our much searched for serial killer.

    (This is my first mafia game, so I don't actually know what role means what. What I have given is what I was given. Forgive my ignorance.)
    I have revealed myself because it is my place to see a serial killer put down. I simply backed up what was said with facts, to make it more of a solid case. Lynch me, and you lose a key piece on this stage. You know more than you should to those around you, and that should satisfy you, Hamlet. You are not one to hide behind others, admit to your name, Dane, and we can rid this stage of a pesky killer and move on with the show.

  • You said she was the serial killer. You didn't say "I think she is a serial killer." or "She might be the serial killer" or "I was told that she can kill people and is prone to violent outbursts so I am convinced this makes her the serial killer". There is a difference with your power and you've admitted that. You never knew she was the serial killer.
  • I was rash in my decision making, self-assured that I was correct. You'll see, several pages back, that I explain exactly how my power works, and it has come up several times about how my power works. I can only assume with my powers, I have no definitive answers. I was told she could kill, in a phrasing similar to that. Lynch me if you will.

    @Alary who did you target lady night? Did you learn anything useful?

  • Alary said earlier he targeted Maylea last night who says she was targetted by Cleopatra.
  • LavinyaLavinya Queen of Snark Australia
    Ahh I must have missed that. Convenient, perhaps? Maybe instead of investigating she was off murdering? I'm not convinced of your innocence, @Alary. I'm also fairly suspicious of @Othero. I doubt he would go after her if they were on the same team, but then what if Alary is innocent and Othero is cleverly removing a threat for the mafia? It IS possible she misinterpreted her results.

    I want to see more of what others are thinking before I vote. @Maylea? @Luce?

  • I'd like an answer to my question first -
    @Alary, why did you target me
    when it was clear that I was to be blocked?
  • On reflection, "blocked"'s a tad misleading -
    I'm referring to my being jailed.

    I mean to ask: why waste your precious skills
    on someone who could be absent that night?
  • I am suspicious that he actually targeted you. You said you were taken by Cleopatra before he spoke up.
  • I'd not considered that; it makes some sense.
  • I misread, when I made the decision I was not of sound mind and I missed that you were going to be blocked. My sincere apologies, I messed up.

    Was it explicit that she was being jailed though? I admit it's odd for us to get two investigators. Did we ever confirm that Othero was also an investigator?
  • I never claimed to be an investigator. And Maylea said that she was on a barge during the night which is the same flavor text others have had from Cleopatra.
  • SynkarinSynkarin Nothing to see here
    Krackenor is the other investigator

    @Ieptix since we know a little more about Rolsand now, do you have anything more substantial to add?

    A shrewish laughter rings throughout the stage, accompanied by dramatic organ music. Apparently a ghost is having one helluva time watching this play unfold.
                          * * * WRACK AND ROLL AND DEATH AND PAIN * * *

      * * * IN RAVAGING WE'LL ENTERTAIN * * *

    Ixion tells you, "// I don't think anyone else had a clue, amazing form."
  • LuceLuce Fox Populi
    No, I mean. Maylea is claiming it was obvious she was going to be jailed last night, but aside from my suggestion to have Shaddus block her, I'm not sure I'm seeing that. And sorry, meant Krackenor, not Othero, but not in the clearest headspace today.

    I'm ready to put a vote at one or the other, but thanks to Rolsand we only need two more votes on Alary to finish her off, and I don't want to put her in ninjagank territory.
  • There was a reasonable amount of talk
    about how it was logical to jail me.
    I'm just surprised; I would have thought someone
    with powers like this would make quite certain that
    they'd be successful. Thanks for answering.

    But I'm not sure that it satisfies;
    I'm having trouble taking at face value
    what could be quite an obvious evasion.
    My worry is you went for me because
    of my refusal to reveal my role.
    I think the mafia would just as much
    be interested in this as the town.
    After all, they too want information -
    it will help them choose where next to strike.

    I think I am prepared to take the risk,
    once others have had time to say their piece.
  • vote alary My reasoning was laid out yesterday, and nothing that has yet been revealed changes it.
