Not entirely what I was doing, though I did find it funny/sweet that a certain fellow was so adamant about winning a certain lady, no matter the cost. Pretty sure it could have gone much higher. I actually was serious about the dancing lessons, and @Saaga is my alibi. We are hatching a scheme!

It's because so many facets of the game are outright broken and protected by those who benefit from it being that way. An overabundance of gimmicks (including game-breaking ones), artifacts that destroy any concept of balance, blatant pay-to-win features, and an obsession with convenience that makes few things actually worthwhile all contribute to the game's sad decline.
I've missed wildnodes fights, the last few have been one sided where the other side didn't have enough people to even turn up and make a go of it without being swatted aside by overwhelming numbers.
