Also, I'm confused by this spectator challenge thing. Is that actually part of the game or is it just some way for people to have fun with Kira? I didn't see any mention of it in the thread until it just started happening.
It's not an actual part of the game. It's just something that Tremula started on a whim, and I decided that I might as well oblige for the added entertainment value.
Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.
Given the curveballs that Kira's thrown into the game, I can very easily imagine there being incentive for the rebels to keep particular players alive at any cost, be it in terms of win conditions or powers or something else. That said, atm I'm not actively considering either of you suspects, but I'm also not completely convinced that I shouldn't be. Need info from the night before really going anywhere with anything today, though.
Each night, I can either investigate someone, or hide myself, which evades all night actions.
During the day, I can send out a single message to someone.
My powers are supposed to "weaken" after the fifth day. Requests for clarification on what this entails have been met with rueful smiles from our mod. I can't say what will happen with them.
Beyond that, I am restricted in that I cannot claim my name, alignment, or win condition. If you ask, I'll be unable to either confirm or deny.
But I'm pretty sure there has to be at least one other investigator out there, so hopefully they can do at least one of those things for me if possible.
On the first day, I sent a message to Shaddus to try to team up with him. That ended up terribly short-lived.
@Tekora was the first person I investigated. When I did so, my investigation revealed her name, role powers, and win condition to me. The next day, I sent my message to her, revealing what I had learned, in order to test the full power of my investigation, and did my best to try to team up with her. Her death ended up proving just how effective my investigative power can be, but none of you will necessarily believe that... unless @Tekora might be generous enough to use her message to us today to confirm what I have said.
Tekora's FoS on Silvanus was a gentle nudge for me to investigate Silvanus, but I found Silvanus' claim to be believable enough at the time. So I investigated Ieptix instead. I can and will reveal information regarding Ieptix if he is okay with it, in order to help solidify my claim. But he's not why I'm roleclaiming right now.
Last night, I investigated Aerdureth.
Aerdureth is Morgan le Fay, and the mafia boss! She is able to study people in order to learn the powers of gods, but not of monsters. She can also take control of someone else's vote (this only lasts a day, though, and requires a night to cast it).
So, we lynch Aerdureth today. Krackenor -must- be a part of the lynch to recharge his power. He can then use it to do a lie-test on the entirety of this post on the next day, or something Yavina has said (like being a god).
On that note, for the sake of completeness, "Yavina is Empusa"
Since I can either investigate or hide, if the mafia want to target me tonight, they will have to guess which course I will take. Whoever fed Ssaliss the thing that protected him from the mafia's night kill should feed it to Krackenor. Then, at least one of us survives to the next day, if not both.
Wait, why are we assuming Yavina is the Empusa. Krackenor's power presumably is a truth-detector, but unless there's evidence pointing towards Yavina then I feel like that statement in your post is more likely to come back as "opinion" than true/false, otherwise Synkarin would have been able to just make a post consisting of "X is a rebelling monster" for all X players in the game and have a foolproof insta-investigative power for everyone.
It's still something, at least. I don't know. There's still that angel that sent a message to me about Silvanus and to Dylara about Falmiis. Maybe, with a bit of luck, they'll have checked up on me.
So, Ieptix, would you be comfortable with me naming you at this time?
I'm not doubting you yet! I'm just waiting to see a rebuttal before casting my vote.
Nothing that you've said contradicts my thoughts so far; I was already suspicious of Yavina from yesterday, and a quick application of Google-fu revealed that Empusa is always depicted with flaming hair and savaged young men. If Empusa is a renegade it could explain the cuts and burns on Shaddus' corpse that were separate from the monster kills on night 1 and the fact Yavina pounced on Faalmis.
I obviously can't confirm your claim right now, but that would be one hell of a lie.
This is a daytime power blocker and casts my vote on Aerudeth (Just in case, vote Aerudeth), I felt it necessary to act while I still had a chance. I do not like the supposed power of being able to switch votes, so I may as well block that while I can.
2014/04/19 01:38:01 - Leolamins drained 2000000 power to raise Silvanus as a Vernal Ascendant.
2014/07/23 05:01:29 - Silvanus drained 2000000 power to raise Munsia as a Vernal Ascendant.
2015/05/24 06:03:07 - Silvanus drained 2000000 power to raise Arimisia as a Vernal Ascendant.
2015/05/24 06:03:58 - Silvanus drained 2000000 power to raise Lavinya as a Vernal Ascendant.
I find that really believable and I'm down for lynching Aerudeth. Obviously holding off my vote so that I can be the last one, that should help us lock down and confirm who Empusa is.
Oh, and BTW, I was hit by the spiders this night. Well, blocked, really. Which makes me wonder if the monsters did something other than kill this night, or if someone got lucky with being protected again.
Also, I don't need you to reveal Ieptix, I had a letter from an angel a few days ago that told me that you were aligned with the gods. But I didn't want to say anything so scum wouldn't target you.

P.S. Are we allowed to message other players??
Wait. When did you get that letter? Night two (i.e. the night before last)?
In my opinion you are far too fast to jump onto the conclusion of one. Which somehow reminds me of...lemmings. What makes you so sure that we can trust Vivet? As far as we know, there could still be two monsters running free. What if she is one of them, trying to shield her companion by making false accusations? If she wanted to claim, why does she choose to do so now, when Krackenor cannot use his power which is quite convenient?
Oh, and re: messaging other players: Unless your role clearly states that you can message other players, then no, you're not allowed to (at least in all the games that I've been in so far). @Kiradawea

Because that's the same night that Dylara got a message from an angel... which means either we have two angels with messages, or one of the two of you are lying.
I really just don't feel like I know where to go today. Yesterday was obviously a bust. I did get a letter earlier, carried to me by an angel but I'm not sure how to act on it or even how valid it is. I doubt another angel would lie to me, however.

I suppose paranoia naturally runs deep in a game like this, but I find it interesting that you're quick to point fingers.
I believed Dylara when she received her message and it turned out to be correct - actually I voted for Falmiis myself. So I can only assume that you're trying to sew the seeds of doubt into the other players that I am lying. Believe what you will, but to me, it only makes you all the more suspicious.
Well, it's not so much pointing fingers as presenting facts. It seems to be a fact that both of you received a message from an angel during the same night, right? So there either has to be a reason that two messages existed, or that one of you two lied. I'm not saying that you're lying, since it's a relatively common strategy among the scum to throw eachother under the bus in order to appear more "town", so as far as I'm concerned, it could just as easily be Dylara that's lying in this case.

Vote: Aerdureth
Might be good to hold off on the actual lynch for a couple of days though, to let him speak his piece. Or for someone else to say stuff.
And @Aerdureth, could you give us a reason to distrust Vivet?
Unvote
Let's not let this distract us from @Aerdureth though. Personally, I think she really needs to come out and claim at this point.
