Shuyin challenges Steingrim on the next...IRON CHEF!
Shuyin is the one with the cleaver. Steingrim is the one on the left awkwardly holding up a potato or some kind of vegetable.
Hey, Hiroyuki Sakai won the most out of any of the Iron Chefs by far! His pear-holding technique might leave something to be desired, but he's got the skills where it counts.
I'm kind of weirded out by the whole 'High Gods read your mind (tells/channels/secret languages) and are listening in whenever' thing, I can't really RP anything that Enya would do, because her reaction to that would be to say nothing and make secret plans. The problem is that in the context of a MUD, a totally secret plan has zero mechanical support, no matter how cool it is.
This is why I'm having Iytha put forward the presumption that the Higher Gods can't read your mind (just CT/GT/CGT/GNT), despite the fact that there is no particular evidence either way for this. Its much more fun if you assume that at least some methods of communication are secure-ish.

I mean.. Luella responded to a tell I sent to someone else that didn't contain her name, and npcs in Seren have explicitly said "Watch what you say, she's listening". In the log Davos posted, her suddenly talking to me and whisking me away is in response to a tell I sent.
I've got a few IC plans of places that might be safe from eavesdropping (from Luella anyways) and how I might signal to someone that I want to talk to them secretly in one of said places.
Definitely do not speak in Tells in front of a Divine. Think of them as always having a Crown of Dvarsh on.
They also get pinged whenever you say their names (or any phrase they are watching for, like Big T).
Also, if a God wants to, they can tune into a clan channel.
Your only salvation is Skype
Bolded part is not entirely true. Administrators can tune in to clan channels, because part of their job is chat moderation. Gods have to physically be in the clan, to be able to listen on the conversations there. The two have different entirely different powers.
That is, assuming that the High Gods follow the same RP conventions as regular ol Elder Gods. If the 'it's all a dream we're stuck in' idea is true, there isn't any particular reason that they couldn't do whatever they damn well please.

I'm not going to go into details, but this is false. Anything that happens in Lusternia that a character witnesses, be it chatting on a clan or emotes, a god can see if they wish. Whether they choose to acknowledge it is up to them.
We should probably get back to Tweets and quit deliberating about who can do what, before Nocht crawls back up the maw of Crazen and puts me in forum jail.
Everiine said: The reason population is low isn't because there are too many orgs. It's because so many facets of the game are outright broken and protected by those who benefit from it being that way. An overabundance of gimmicks (including game-breaking ones), artifacts that destroy any concept of balance, blatant pay-to-win features, and an obsession with convenience that makes few things actually worthwhile all contribute to the game's sad decline.
So it's totally cool and IC for Viravain (the god, not the admin) to listen in on the Seren leaders clan if she feels like it?
EDIT: And all of the gods have just... not relayed all of this information back to their respective organizations because...
Cool? No. Possible? Yes. Could they get in trouble for doing it? Sure.

Mysrai speaks on the Freedom Council clan and Altrea has gotten their attention on it without saying "Mysrai" I'm pretty sure they can hear whatever they want
If you give Divine permisison to listen on a channel, as I'm sure someone did at some point for the leadership clans, then I think it would make sense for them to be able to flag it on/off for showing up for them.

While we're randomly theorizing about gods and what they do, I am p sure that Yomoigu has at least thought once about a fiery rendezvous with Darvellan on the windswept seas. Opposites attract, okay?
"Oh yeah, you're a naughty mayor, aren't you? Misfile that Form MA631-D. Comptroller Shevat's got a nice gemstone disc for you, but yer gonna have to beg for it."
The only solution to this problem is to hide your secret messages in very bad mudsex so the Ubergods won't even want to read enough of it to understand your plans for revolt. The logic here is flawless.

I'll be there as a non-voting observer.
Everiine is a man, and is very manly. This MAN before you is so manly you might as well just gender bend right now, cause he's the manliest man that you ever did see. His manly shape has spurned many women and girlyer men to boughs of fainting. He stands before you in a manly manerific typical man-like outfit which is covered in his manly motto: "I am a man!"

I believe the ping is more of an OOC thing than an IC power.
Dont worry Nyxx, attention is back on me
